Last weekend, Valentino Rossi hopped on his motorcycle and did an impressive, but careful lap around the Misano track. The outing must have boosted his confidence, because Rossi will begin testing at BRNO today, and will decide if he is healthy enough to compete at Sachsenring. Rossi fractured his right tibia just over a month ago on June 5th. Most people predicted that he would be out for the season, but he seems to be determined to get back onto his M1. Rossi's Fiat Yamaha teammate, Jorge Lorenzo, is riding away with the MotoGP Championship.
Rossi rode a YSF-R1 during his Misano test, and will ride the same bike today at BRNO. Rossi and his Fiat Yamaha team will asses his condition today, and it is possible that Rossi reenters the GP this weekend.
Before Rossi's injury, he was riding with a sore shoulder. If Rossi is not 100%, he should not come back and risk further injury. But, with the Jorge Lorenzo's current unbeatable trend, it would be great to see Rossi steal a few victories away at the end of the MotoGP season.
