Ducati, who have reportedly “waved a blank check” in front of Rossi, are hopeful to get the racer in their stable as soon as next season. Rossi, who is no stranger to being vetted by other manufactures, said that he intends on sticking with Yamaha.
“I know I have a bike for next year and I don’t need to rush my return to demonstrate anything,” Rossi explained.
As the months tick away, all we can do is sit back and wait. Obviously, everyone in the free world would love to see Rossi racing for his native country, and add another level of cool to his megastar status.
