Lorenzo Pulls Past Rossi For Second Win of the Season

mogogp_lorenzo_le_mansFiat Yamaha teammates Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi battled throughout the weekend at the Monster Energy Grand Prix in Le Mans. They also fought for the lead, switching the top spot during today's MotoGP race. In the end, Lorenzo pulled ahead and took his second win of the season. Lorenzo extends his lead to 9 points ahead of teammate Rossi.

Lorenzo finished 5 seconds ahead of Rossi, and 7.8 seconds ahead of Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso. Nicky Hayden took fourth place for Ducati Marlboro, and Dani Pedrosa rounded out the top five.

Alvaro Bautista, who entered into this weekend's competition with an injured collar bone, withdrew from the race after a crash on Saturday.
