At the end of the 2010 MotoGP season, many of the series stars will be at the end of their contracts. Casey Stoner, who currently rides with Ducati Marlboro, is rumored to be making the move to the Repsol Honda team at the end of the season. Sportsmediaset.it and Crash.net repot that the Stoner move is practically a done deal. The Ducati team wanted to keep Stoner, but the Australian rider wasn’t pleased when the team tried to sign Jorge Lorenzo earlier this year.
Stoner has won one championship for the Ducati Marlboro team, which he did in his first year with the team in 2007.
Don’t feel bad for Ducati Marlboro, though. The Ducati team is making moves to take nine time world champion Valentino Rossi from the Fiat Yamaha team. The report from Sportsmediaset.it says that Ducati Marlboro has put a two year contract on the table for Rossi. Rossi is expected to respond later this month.
Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa are also coming to the end of their MotoGP contracts at the end of the 2010 season.
