Moto2 rider Toni Elias underwent surgery to repair injuries sustained in a testing crash at Jerez last Monday.
Doctors operated on the Team Gresini rider to close the fractures on his left ankle and the the little finger of his left hand.
A screw has been inserted to his ankle and a plate and five small screws measuring just 1.5mm each inserted to the finger. Elias has begun the rehab process, and hopes of a return to action for the first race in Qatar on April 11th.
