MotoGP's Edwards on Wind Tunnel Hot

Colin EdwardsMonster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Colin Edwards will be a guest on Dave Despain's "Wind Tunnel" Sunday, discussing his hopes for fifth place in this year's MotoGP Championship.

If the 35-year-old finishes the points race in fifth place after the final round at Valencia on November 8, it'll be his second-best championship finish; Edwards is currently only four points behind Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso.

Edwards will also discuss his new teammate for 2010, Ben Spies. Next year's Tech 3 team will be all American (and all Texan), and Edwards has showed much excitement about his new partner: "I think Ben Spies is going to be good – he’s obviously got a lot of talent. You come over and you’re hot. You’ve got a guy that’s accustomed to winning and fighting for the win all the time, then you’re going to make him go on a bike that under normal circumstances is not going to be as fast as the factory bikes. But next year it might be different with the engine rules, maybe all the engines will be the same, I have no idea. But he’ll be fast, he’ll be good and I’m excited at the prospect of working with him.”

Check out "Wind Tunnel" at 10 p.m. (EST) this Sunday, Nov. 1, on SPEED.
