Marc Marquez was the first of three Spaniards to cross the line at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Marquez, who is now 28 points from the top of the Moto2 championship standings, was joined by Pol Espargaro and Esteve Rabat on the podium.
Simone Corsi, who started from the second spot on the grid, took the jump off the line and was followed by the huge, 30 plus rider pack. It wasn't until lap 8 that Marquez was able to gain control of the race, and once he did, the Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol rider never looked back.
Marquez would take the win by nearly two seconds ahead of Espargaro and Rabat, who both earned their first career Moto2 pole positions today at Indy.
Bradley Smith and Scott Redding took the fourth and fifth place positions, while championship leader Stefan Bral took 6th. Bradl started from the 22nd spot on the grid but did a fantastic job of cutting through the pack and keeping the championship lead.
Julián Simón, followed in seventh, with Mattia Pasini, Mika Kallio, and Aleix Espargaró rounding out the top 10.
