For the last three races, Marc Marquez has lead the 38 rider Moto2 grid off the line. Marquez will lead the pack again tomorrow as the Repsol rider claimed his fourth consecutive pole position today with a record breaking lap at Indy.
In the MotoGP class, Casey Stoner set a new record and lead the field by more than a half second. Marquez may hold the lap record, but he doesn't have too much breathing room at the front. Marquez beat out Simone Corsi by just .001 seconds to claim the front spot on the grid.
Corsi barely missed out on the pole position, but he still claims his best qualifying position of the season with second. Andrea Iannone also grabbed his best qualifying position of the year today, claiming his first front row start of 2011.
Bradley Smith will be starting the second row ahead of Thomas Luthi and Mattia Pasini.
The Americans still had a hard time keeping pace with the rest of the field. Kenny Noyes finished in 29th, while wildcards Jake Gagne and JD Beach finished in 32nd and 35th.
