Stefan Bradl took his third pole position of the season today, beating out Thomas Luthi and Julian Simon during the Moto2 qualifying session in Estoril.
Bradl has claimed every pole position so far in the 2011 Moto2 season, and has already converted one of those finishes to a race win. Bradl will be looking for his second victory tomorrow as he leads the Moto2 grid in Estoril.
Bradl’s 1’41.591 time was good enough to keep a charging Luthi at bay. Luthi will also be starting on the front row for the third time this season. Simon, on the other hand, will be starting from the front for the first time this season.
Marc Marquez will lead the second row, followed by Dominique Aegerter and Michele Pirro.
Yuki Takahashi, who had been dominant in the free practice sessions, will start the third row during tomorrow’s race.
