Bradl Leads the Way at Valencia Hot

moto2_bradlThe free practice sessions of the final round of the 2010 Moto2 season are over, and Stefan Bradl has come out on top. Bradl was unbeatable today around the Valencia track, as he topped the time sheets at both the morning and afternoon free practice sessions today in Spain.

Bradl took his first Moto2 win last weekend, and was able to carry that momentum into the final round of the 2010 Moto2 season. Bradl beat out Karel Abraham and Jules Cluzel for the top spot on the time sheet during FP1.

Toni Elias has already wrapped up the 2010 Moto2 championship, but second place is still up for grabs between Julian Simon and Andrea Iannone. Simon was able to finish fourth for the day, but Iannone crashed out and was carried from the track on a stretcher. Simon leads Iannone by 6 points, and gains even more of an advantage now that Iannone will have to compete with a sore leg.

In the second free practice session, it was Bradl again at the top of the time sheets. Bradl continued to push himself around the track, and dropped his time down to 1'36.666 seconds.

Simon took a step up in the standings, finishing in second behind Bradl. Simon was followed by Karel Abraham, Alex de Angelis, and Scott Redding.

Andrea Iannone was able to get back on the track during FP2, but still sore from his crash in FP1, was only able to manage a 19th place finish.
