Bradl Wins in Portugal

Stefan Bradl captured his first win of the 2010 Moto2 season today in Portugal, beating out Alex Baldolini and Alex de Angelis in a thrilling race.

Bradl's first victory was also his first podium, but it didn't come easy at the Estoril track. Bradl started from the third row of the grid, and had to fight his way through the pack to beat out Baldolini by .06 seconds. It is Bradl's first world championship win since 2008, when he won at Motegi in the 125cc class.

Baldolini, who also had a third row start, had a fantastic personal day as he claimed his first World Chaampionship podium of his career.

De Angelis crossed the line more than 2 seconds behind Baldolini, and had to fight with Scott Redding to claim his third consecutive podium. De Angelis would end up finishing .012 seconds ahead of Redding, who rode a fantastic race from a starting position of 24th.

Kenan Sofuoglu, who was riding his first Moto2 race, finished in fifth. Sofuoglu led for part of the race, and at one point had a 6 second lead.
