Sofuoglu to Ride Moto2 For Final Two Rounds

wss_sofuoglu2Kenan Sofuoglu just wrapped up the 2010 World Supersport season, claiming his second World Supersport title, but he isn't done racing yet. Sofuoglu will hop on over to the MotoGP, and ride in the Moto2 division for the final two rounds of the season.

Sofuoglu will be riding with the Technomag-CIP team for the final two rounds of the Moto2 season at Estoril and Valencia.

“I am very happy to join forces with the Technomag-CIP team for the races at Estoril and Valencia,” said Sofuoglu. “The team has proven this year that they are capable of delivering a race winning bike.”

Sofuoglu will be joining Swiss rider Dominque Aegerter on the Suter MMX motorcycle in Moto2.

“I want to thank Alain (Bronec, team boss) for his confidence in me and look forward to working with the very experienced crew to achieve an ending to the season that honors Shoya.”

Alain Bronec, the Technomag-CIP team boss, added: “First of all, congratulations to Kenan for his second world supersport championship title. I am happy to welcome him in our team. To compete in Moto2 for the last two races is a real challenge and my team and Kenan are ready for it.”
