De Angelis Sets the Pace at Italian Grand Prix

moto2_angelisAlex de Angelis of RSM Team Scot racing set the pace with a quick lap around the Mugello track at the Italian Grand Prix. His time of 1'56.422, which was set in the 13th of 22 laps, stood for the remainder of the day as the fastest time during the first free practice session.

Sergio Gadea got the closest to beating De Angelis's time, but fell short by .217 on the penultimate lap. Julian Simon was another late entry to the leaderboard, setting his third place time on his final lap.

Andrea Lannone finished fourth, just .45 seconds behind the leader.
