Tony Elias of Gresini Racing went the fastest at the second free practice session for the Moto2. Andrea Lannone and Yuki Takahashi also found themselves on the podium. Elias took the win with a 1’39.608 time, just eight thousandths of a second ahead of Lannone.
The top three riders in today’s session were separated by just 5 hundredths of a second, and the top ten were all within .3 seconds. The top 23 riders all posted times within one second of Elias.
