AMA Flat Track: Lloyd Bros Penalized Hot

Lloyd Brothers Motorsports Penalized for Illegal Testing

AMA Pro Racing Press Release

AMA Flat Track

AMA Pro Racing Officials announced today that a $1,000 fine with stipulations has been assessed to AMA Pro Flat Track participants Lloyd Brothers Motorsports for a violation of Rule 6.6 A, which addresses Track Rentals and Unofficial Practice.  The violation occurred just prior to last weekend's event at Beulah Park in Grove City, Ohio.

Rule 6.6 A reads: "At racetrack facilities where Grand National Championship events are to be held, exclusive track rentals or practice are not allowed by participants, including manufacturers, teams or individuals unless approved by AMA Pro Racing. There are no restrictions on track rentals or practice in conjunction with regional race meets, promoter/racetrack organized open practice and open schools."

Lloyd Brothers Motorsports tested at Beulah Park on Thursday, August 6, before the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship event at Beulah Park, Sunday, August 16, 2009.  The team did not request approval from AMA Pro Racing to test nor did they make any other effort to communicate with the organization about the test.

The fine must be paid in full at least 48 hours prior to any AMA Pro Flat Track event in which members of Lloyd Brothers Motorsports or motorcycles built or maintained by the Lloyd Brothers Motorsports team plan or are entered to participate.
