Bill Warner Survives 238 MPH Crash

bill_warner_recordAnyone who has been in a motorcycle crash knows just how sudden, violent, and terrifying it can be. Even small crashes at slow speeds can be unnerving. Crashing at 238 mph? That's something I don't even want to think about.

Bill Warner, who has multiple land speed records, was trying to break one of said records in Texas when he lost control of his turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa.

Warner has been in the hospital since October 21st, but according to Hemmings, he's finally getting ready to leave his bed.

Warner suffered four broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a lacerated liver, broke his left hand, and damaged a tendon on his left foot. Warner also suffered several cuts and bruises.

Here's a video of Bill Warner hitting 300 mph on his motorcycle. Now imagine hitting that speed and then hitting the pavement.

Warner isn't the only one to walk away from a high-speed crash. Earlier this year Rocky Robinson crashed while trying to break his 394 mph record. Luckily for Robinson, he crashed at a speed just over 100 mph.
