When you're winning, why change anything? The Kawasaki SRC endurance team used the same bike, the same racers, and the mechanics to claim their second consecutive Le Mans 24 hour race.
Julian Da Costa, Gregory Leblanc, and Olivier Four, rode the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R around the legendary course, completing 834 laps at an average speed of 90 mph.
"The pace was very fast this year, and it was physically very challenging," said Grégory Leblanc. "I am naturally delighted to have won."
According to Kawasaki, no team has ever won the Le Mans 24 Hour race twice in a row with the same bike, the same team, and the same crew.
"The same crew that wins twice in a row, this is unique!... and at Le Mans, which is for me the greatest race in World Endurance!," said Olivier Four.
The Suzuki Endurance Racing team took second at Le Mans this year ahead of the Austrian Yamaha team. SERT now holds an 11 point lead over the BMW team.
