The world's two biggest electric motorcycle racing organizations are coming together for the second time this year for a combined event at Le Mans. The FIM e-Power and the TTXGP series will open the 24-hour endurance race at Le Mans this weekend.
From a press release:
"In a spirit of collaboration and with the common goal of promoting electric clean emission racing, the FIM e-Power & TTXGP Championships combined both series across two rounds of their respective championships, the 2011 FIM e-Power International Championship and the TTXGP World Series 2011."
The electric race will have 10 riders on the grid representing 6 different nations.
Matthias Himmelmann, current leader of both championships FIM e-Power and TTXGP with the Munch TTE team, but he'll have strong competition from Italian rider Alessandro Brannetti (CRP Racing) and the two Chinese riders,Ho Chi Fung and Yu Tang, for the Tongshen team.
