Toni Bou Wins Fifth Consecutive Outdoor Trial World Championship [Video]

BOUToni Bou took another world championship last weekend at the European Grand Prix. Bou has now earned five consecutive Outdoor Trial World Championships and has a grand total of 10 Championship titles.

"It is an incredible moment," Bou said. "They have all been important, but this fifth one has been the best."

Bou won the indoor championship in March and continued his success during the outdoor season. Bou took 7 wins during the 2011 Outdoor Trial World Championship and an additional four podiums. Bou has been racing for the Repsol Montesa Honda team since 2007. He's won the championship every year that he's raced with the team.

The 24-year-old rider now has 10 world championships and 5 spanish championships. But that's probably the least impressive stat about Bou. Bou scored 93% of the possible points during his 5 Outdoor World Championship tittle seasons and won 66% of the time. He scored 94% of the points during his 5 indoor title seasons and won 76% of the time.

He has only missed the podium once in the last two years. In 2011, he won every Indoor event and finished on the podium at every outdoor event.

Here's a video from Honda showing why Bou has won the Outdoor Trial World Championship year after year.
