Jay Leno's Big Dog Garage Racing Team will be out in full force this weekend at Bike Fest at Miller Motorsports Park. The team participated in the vintage automobile race in 2008, but this time they'll also be bringing the motorcycles.
Leno will enter a 1976 Honda Formula 500 and a 1993 Honda open two-stroke in the American Historic Racing Mtorcycle Association's Bonneville Vintage Grand Prix.
"The reception that the Big Dog Garage Racing Team received at Miller Motorsports Park was second to none in my 30 years in motorsport," said Ron Bermudez, the team's general manager. "The staff made us feel at home after our long trip from Jay's garage in California.
"We also had the honor of meeting the late Larry Miller, who gave us a private tour of his Total Performance Museum of priceless Ford racing cars. The passion he had for motorsports was evident in his eyes, as was the pride he had in his world-class facility. We can't wait to get back on that wonderful track this weekend."
Bernard Juchli, the mechanical mastermind that has helped restore Leno's extensive collection of vintage bikes and cars, will be racing both machines this weekend.
Bike Fest at Miller Motorsports Park will feature some of the coolest vintage bikes around, but MMP will also see some of the motorcycles from the future as the North American TTXGP wraps up its 2011 season in Utah this weekend.
