TTXGP North American Final to Be Held at MMP

Miller_Motorsports_ParkThe TTXGP has just announced the date and location for the final round of the North American leg of the electric motorcycle racing series. The final North American TTXGP round will be held over Labor Day weekend at Miller Motorsports Park.

Lightning Motors will be on hand at MMP to defend their 2010 title.

"The Lightning team is looking forward to defending our title," said Lightning motorcycles team boss Richard Hatfield. "We were on the podium in the last round at Laguna Seca despite having had the bikes back in the US only ten days prior and having just one-track session to prepare."

But Lightning will have to beat the Brammo team, the MotoCzysz team, and the Mission Motors team.

"We are pleased to build on the success of Laguna Seca and to give a thrilling final to the TTXGP 2011 season at such an iconic location" said Azhar Hussain, CEO of TTXGP. "Our thanks to the all the partners involved in helping us making this happen and we look forward to being hosted by USBA and crowing a TTXGP North American Champions 2011."

While the US finishes up its electric motorcycle racing season, the European and Australian championships continue with rounds in Assen, Sweden, and Australia. After all of the series are over, the top 8 bikes from around the world will compete in the TTXGP final.

The action continues this weekend at Assen, with Round 3 of the TTXGP Euro Championship 2011 when a guest MotoGP rider Japser Iwema takes to the TTXGP field on a 40,000 strong weekend as part of the new Gamma Rizla Cup. Round 4 will be in Karlskoga, Sweden on Sept 3/4.  Our penultimate Australian round will be over the same weekend.
