U.S. Trial Des Nations Team Announced, Preparations Begin

NATC_LogoIn a few months, the U.S. Team will head to the Trial Des Nations in Italy. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), in partnership with the North American Trials Council (NATC), announced the members of the men’s and women’s teams this morning.

Keith Wineland from Fountain, Colorado will lead the men’s team. Bryan Roper from Glendale, Arizona, Karl Davis Jr. from Ormond Beach, Florida, and Eric Storz from Ventura, California will join the trials veteran in Italy. Andrew Oldar from Aguanga, California, will be an alternate for the team.

"MotoTrials continues to attract new riders to the sport every year, and much of that has to do with the inspirational rides and increased international recognition our riders earn at events such as the Trial des Nations," said AMA Director of Racing Joe Bromley. "The Trial des Nations brings together the best trials riders in the world, and it is an honor for AMA racers to compete at this event. We're looking forward to a strong showing in Italy this September."

Louise Forsley will be heading the women’s team. Sarah Duke from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Caroline Allen from Norton, Massachusetts, will fill out the rest of the team. Rachel Hassler from Albuquerque, New Mexico will be the alternate for the women’s team.

"We are very proud to be taking a young and eager team to represent the United States at the Trial des Nations," said Brian Behling, CEO of the NATC. "Both the men and women will be led by experienced Trial des Nations veterans in Keith and Louise, as well as Sarah and Caroline, so expectations are high for a good result. They have all worked hard to achieve success in the AMA/NATC National MotoTrials series and will do their best to make U.S. MotoTrials fans proud of their efforts."

Behling, the CEO of the NATC, will also serve as the Women’s Team USA coach. Kip Webb will be the men's team manager. The Trial Des Nations will be held in Tolmezzo, Italy, on September 18-19th.
