Kenny Poppell Dies in Motorcycle Crash Hot

Kenny Poppell, a young drag racer, has died in a motorcycle crash. Poppell was riding his motorcycle down the street in Jessup, Georgia, when he collided with a car pulling out onto the road.

A neighbor heard the crash and called police, but it was too late for Kenny Poppell.

Even though Poppell had a need for speed, initial police reports indicate that Poppell was driving under the speed limit at the time of the accident. WTOC News reports that Rayonier Road, where the accident occurred, is a bendy road lined with trees, and the driver probably just didn't see him.

Kenny Poppell was given the 2007 Sportsman Rookie of the Year award by the AMA Dragbike Championship series, and was married to his wife Shawna.

Poppell was just 29-years-old.

The road that kenny was riding on is more of a back road than what most think of as a street. The place where he wrecked is after a blind corner so neither one probably had time to react.

That sucks man...Preliminary reports say he was doing the speed limit which saves the media from slamming motorcyclists. No mention if he had a helmet on or not. I personally never met Kenny, but it seems he was well liked and he'll be missed dearly. Condolences to his family...

i travel this road everyday. there is a curve in the road, but it is not a blind curve. no trees in the way. where people pull out, they can see. i don't know what time time this happened, but he was going west. the girl driving was turning east & the sun would not had been in her eyes. i know this because i get home around 5, & it happened later on

Helmets are required in the State of GA, (he always wore his helmet) Kenny rides with his bright lights on; Live video also proved Kenny was doing the speed limit.
For those who knew him, he made you feel like you were one in a million and for those who didn't you missed one of God's best!!
