Chip Yates and the Electric Screamer

chip_yatesRunning an electric screamer the SWIGZ.COM racing team with rider Chip Yates takes multiple podiums at California Speedway. In the WERA race series Heavyweight Twins Superbike class Chip has proven that the electric superbike has what it takes to run with the gas motorcycles. His machine has a weight close to 580 pounds and putting out 300 foot pounds of torque and 194 horsepower put him on the podium twice taking a third place in race one and a second place in race two.

The motorcycle should be called screamer, watch the videos of the race and just listen to the electric motor scream at a 150 plus miles per hour as Chip is racing down the front straight of California Speedway. The motorcycle is equipped with a KERS system. KERS, Kinetic Energy Recovery System, is an energy recovery process which slows a vehicle by converting its kinetic energy into energy that can be used for braking and for recharging the batteries. Chip Yates tweeted "Can't reveal exact upgrade details because of NDA, but new power is more than 240 hp, new torque is more than 350 ft/lbs and RPM is secret!" Are we are seeing the future of road racing?
