Taking it to the limit
The first thing I have to say is that I don’t think I gave the Nuclear Cowboyz enough credit in my first article after the dress rehearsal at Mellon Arena on Friday night. The Nuclear Cowboyz' main show was miles above the rehearsal and the quality of the riding was outstanding.
The main reason was the amount of different extreme motocross moves they were all making. The Cowboyz seemed to fly higher, even a little longer and definitely at more of an acute angle when “side swiping,” to the extent that sometimes it seemed that they had too much of an angle to land the bikes. That was not the case at all; every single motocross rider landed all the jumps impeccably, with precision and grace as well as a considerable amount of skill.
This time the Mellon Arena was about 2/3 full of spectators who came to see the Nuclear Cowboyz, so the crowd created a much more show type of environment. The pyrotechnics seemed to be louder and the Nuclear Cowgirlz definitely danced with a little more jubilation than the dress rehearsal.
We took a friends little 5 year old who was totally mesmerized by the show put on by the Nuclear Cowboyz; he couldn’t take his eyes of each ramp as the motocross bikes launched into the air, and when the grand finale came he just didn’t know where to look. Then there were the three teenagers in front who couldn’t stop taking pictures of the Nuclear Cowgirlz; you could say there was entertainment for everyone.
From someone that enjoys Motocross and Supercross, you have to go to see the Nuclear Cowboyz show when it comes into an arena in your town. Make sure if you can you take some kids with you and warn them of the bang, they will love them.
