The Nuclear Cowboyz - Soldier of Havoc, Adam Jones Hot

The Nuclear Cowboyz

Adam Jones

The Nuclear Cowboyz tour, presented by Feld Motor Sports, has put together some of the world’s greatest freestyle motocross riders. The tour has opened a new exciting format by combining a high intensity sport with a show format that introduces an entertaining story line.

The story line opens when the Nuclear Cowboyz reunite after chaos has rocked the world. The sparse population is divided into two tribes, the Soldiers Of Havoc and the Metal Mulisha. These tribes operate without oversight and compete for dominance of their new world.

We interviewed one of the Soldiers of Havoc, Adam Jones.

ABB: How is this show different than other shows you have done before in the past?

AJ: Everything is all put together; the crowd is going to be a lot more into it, something that is totally put together.

ABB: Were there any problems with the coordination of the lighting or pyrotechnics?

AJ: No, all the people running the pyrotechnics and the lights and everyone knew what they were doing. If they had put something on at the wrong time, that could have been trouble for us so those guys really had their stuff together making sure that no pyro really went off till we landed or no lights were shining in our eyes or anything like that. If the guys didn’t know that, there would have been lots of problems but they had their stuff together.

AAB: So how do you feel about being a “Soldier of Havoc?”

AJ: Oh how do I feel about being a Soldier of Havoc? Well I originally thought the name was silly. At first it was a little different but you know once I saw the show and the story line and everything, the show is going to be awesome.

AAB: The costume you wear, is it standard MX gear or is there anything special about it?

AJ: Everybody on each side wears standard MX gear from their sponsors, our team wears white.

AAB: Who are your sponsors?

AJ:Fox Racing, Monster Energy… I could go on for a while.

AAB: Is there one sponsor that stands out to you?

AJ:All my sponsors have been with me for a while and I cannot put one above the others and they are all really cool.

AAB: Is there one trick you found difficult?

AJ:I had a hard time getting them all down, but I have gotten them all down.

AAB: Is the show more of a group effort than a single rider?

AJ:Yeah it's more of a group of everybody doing something at one time. That’s what makes the show cool. It’s not really about one guy going out there doing the coolest stuff he can.

AAB: How do you like working with Feld Motorsports so far?

AJ:The only time I have worked with them so far is at the rehearsals. We are having our first show this weekend. Those guys seem to be super cool and really into what we are doing. They are really trying to make this thing work, I think it is awesome of them to do this here and securing our careers for how ever long this will last.
