Husaberg has strong lineup for 2009 ISDE

In Figueira da Foz on Portugal's Atlantic Coast the Enduro World celebrates the highlight and end of the 2009 outdoor season, the 84th International Six Days Enduro.
No less that 500 riders from 24 nations return to Portugal ten years after the ISDE was last hosted at Coimbra to underline that this event, the longest-running offroad event in motorcycle racing, remains the most popular and spectacular annual gathering of Enduro enthusiasts.
All Husaberg factory riders engaged in national campaigns
All 5 Husaberg factory riders are reinforcing their national Trophy or Junior Trophy Teams at this year's ISDE. Joakim Ljunggren, Björne Carlsson and Calle Sjöö are one half of the Swedish Trophy Team while Valtteri Salonen joins his countrymen in the Finnish Trophy Team and Junior World Champion Oriol Mena leads Spains
Husaberg well represented in North American Teams
Apart from the european factory riders also US Husaberg factory pilot Nick Fahringer came all the way across the Atlantic to take on his first ISDE in a US club team. But he is not the only Husaberg rider from North America, also Husaberg supported rider Rory Sullivan is part of one of the US club teams and team CGRT Husaberg from Alberta, Canada has no less than 4 riders ready to take on the ISDE, whereas three of them, Nick Riewe, Jay McGregor and Burt Peterson, are part of the Canadian Trophy Team.
Challenging terrain
Like two years ago on the shores of Chile, the 2009 ISDE will offer plenty of challenges in the beach sand of Portugal for both riders and mechanics alike. Organisers promise tests in the sand for the first two days while each evening riders will wind up their day's ride in the deep sand of Figueira's beach.
The race is on
After the official opening ceremony Saturday night racing will start on Monday, 12th of October and finish off with the final MX on Saturday, 17th of October.
