Kurt Caselli took his fourth WORCS race win of the 2011 season in Washougal, Washington last weekend with a dominant performance. Caselli won both motos and now leads the series by 38 points.
Caselli started the weekend with a fantastic performance on Friday. At the halfway point of the first moto the KTM rider had more than 30 seconds in front of the rest of the pack. Caselli would slow down in the final laps to cruise to an easy victory over Suzuki's Josh Strang and KTM's Mike Brown.
Caselli took a surprising win in the second moto, after teammate Brown pulled away with the lead. Brown would suffer a problem with his rear brakes toward the end of the race, and had to pull into the pits to have them fixed.
"I didn't know Brown had pulled off," Caselli said. "I never saw him off to the side or anything so I didn't realize I was leading. It was definitely a nice surprise to cross the finish line and figure out that I was leading the race but I'm definitely bummed for Brown, he was on fire today."
Brown would be able to re-enter the race to claim fifth.
The WORCS series will head to Glen Helen on September 23rd for the 8th round of the series.
