Earlier this week, former Supercross champion and current Supercross contender James "Bubba" Stewart was arrested for impersonating an officer, putting the remainder of the 2011 Supercross season in doubt. But a statement released on Stewart's website today said that Stewart will be racing on Saturday.
Tomorrow night, the Supercross riders will head to Toronto for the 12th round of the 2011 Supercross season.
Trey Canard is coming off of his second win of the season, while James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto are both coming off of DNFs.
Here's a look at what the Supercross riders will be going up against this weekend in Toronto.
After James Stewart's crash in Jacksonville, his participation in Toronto was questionable. Stewart was taken from the track in a stretcher, and updates about his condition were scarce. But Stewart just released a message today saying that he is pretty banged up, but he is ready to race this weekend in Toronto.
"I was definitely banged up pretty good in Jacksonville, but I'm feeling a lot better now and ready for Toronto," Stewart said. "At this point it's all about the Championship and every race counts. I want to thank my fans, my team and my sponsors for all of their support this week and every week of the series. It really means a lot to me."
