Trey Canard has a scary crash last weekend at Dodger Stadium. Canard recently underwent successful surgery and is currently resting at a hospital in California.
Canard injured his T10, T11 and T12 vertebrae during the crash and many fans feared that the young Honda riders career may have been finished. Canard assured his fans that he had 100% feeling in his legs and today, his brother Aaron, released a statement saying that Canard could be released from the hospital as early as this weekend.
"The surgery went exactly as planned," Aaron said. "He is still in some pain and discomfort but is able to deal with it better and better. He is staying positive and his spirits are up, which is great to see. Depending on how the next few days go, the doctors are hoping Canard can be released to go home by the end of the weekend."
Ryan Morais was also seriously injured in the crash. Morais is expected to make a full recovery.
