Trey Canard just can't catch a break. Canard missed the first round of the 2012 Supercross season due to an injury and it looks like he could be missing a few more races. During last night's event at Dodger Stadium, Ryan Morias accidentally landed on top of Canard, leaving the Honda rider with a back injury.
The Honda team hasn't released an official statement about Canard's injuries yet, but according to MotoAddicts.com, Canard underwent surgery last night. Morias suffered a broken jaw during the incident.
Canard has spent much of the last year on the injured list. After recovering from a broken femur, Canard started preparing for the 2012 season. But the Honda rider took a fall during training and broke his collarbone.
Canard recovered from the injury and was able to race last weekend in Phoenix. Canard recorded a 7th place finish on his Supercross return. Unfortunately, it may have been the last time we see Canard complete a race for a few weeks.
Here's the video of the incident at Dodger Stadium.
