Trey Canard broke his collarbone at the beginning of December, putting his training for the 2012 Supercross season on hold. Canard missed the opening round of the season at Anaheim but got back to work last weekend in Phoenix.
Canard took 7th place in his return to the Supercross series. Canard was happy with his results, but is hoping to be riding up at the front next weekend.
"I am excited to be here, and I'm excited to be riding," said Canard. "It is a bummer for me because I am not right up with the guys that I normally compete with, but overall it was a very successful weekend."
Ryan Villopoto took the first victory of the season and Ryan Dungey won last weekend in Phoenix. The two Ryan's are currently tied at the top of the standings with 45 points.
