The 2012 Supercross season is just a few weeks away. The highly anticipated racing season will kick of on January 7th in Anaheim, California, and Brett Metcalfe and the Suzuki team are ready to face off against riders like Ryan Villopoto, James Stewart, and Ryan Dungey.
"I'm really excited about Anaheim 1. Last season, I had a tough time and I made some mistakes that took me out of the Supercross Championship, but I learned a lot," Metcalfe said. We really hit some points in the off-season testing and, right now, I think I'm riding the best Supercross I ever have. I'm excited about that and I can't wait until January 7th comes around and we get to go racing. I think we'll be well-prepared and hungry to get out there. I'm just looking forward to going for those race-wins and putting the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 up front."
Metcalfe, who made his Supercross debut last year, should be a top contender this year. His Supercross season was plagued with injuries but he proved his riding ability in Motocross with an overall win, two podiums, and three top five finishes.
"We're really looking forward to the upcoming 2012 season and we're excited about Anaheim 1," said Yoshimura Suzuki Team Manager Mike Webb. "We are extremely happy to have Brett as part of our team and are looking for great things from him. Metty has shown he has the stuff to win and is a great ambassador for the sport and a quality-representative for Yoshimura and Suzuki."
