For the third time in his rookie season, Trey Canard has earned a Supercross victory. Canard took win number three in Dallas last night, beating out Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey.
Canard led for the majority of the race, and never really had a challenger for the top spot.
"I'm so grateful. So many people from home are here," Canard said after the race. "This was such an awesome day. I knew I needed another good start and it happened again. I'm just going to keep doing the best I can. That's all I can control."
Canard's victory puts him in fourth place behind defending champion Ryan Dungey.
At the top of the leaderboard, Villopoto reclaimed the lead ahead of Chad Reed. Reed was challenging for the podium, but the Two-Two Motorsports rider had a run-in with James Stewart, leaving both riders in the dirt.
The mishap opened the door for Villopoto and Dungey to take the remaining spots on the podium.
Villopoto now leads the series by 6 points ahead of Reed, while Reed is just 1 point ahead of Dungey.
