The Supercross event in Houston last weekend was probably the most exciting event of the 2011 Supercross season so far. Slow starts from James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto opened the door for a fantastic battle between returning champion Ryan Dungey and Supercross rookie Trey Canard.
"It's unbelievable, I'm kindof questioning if it's real myself," Canard said after his first Supercross win. "It's been a lifetime of anticipation...and I'm just happy to up here. Hopefully we can get a couple more of these."

Villopoto was able to gradually make his way back up to the front to claim his fifth podium of the season. Villopoto now leads the series with 132 points. Stewart's dissapointing 15th place finish drops him down to second, 9 points behind the leader. Canard takes a big step up with his victory, and now sits in third place, 20 points behind Canard.
