The conditions were bad last night in Salt Lake City as riders geared up for the second to last race of the Supercross season. It rained, it hailed, it even snowed, and the Salt Lake City track turned into one big pool of mud. The conditions seemed ideal for Kevin Windham, however, who won his second consecutive race. His win in Seattle was also over a muddy and deeply rutted course. Windham raced to victory just ahead of Davi Millsaps, and is now second in the overall standings behind the unsearchable Ryan Dungey.
“I know they cut the main event short, but it was kind of survival,” said Windham. “It’s just unbelievable. I feel really good about going to the final round, and I look forward to wrapping up the 2010 season. I’m looking forward to 2011 already.”
Andrew Short took third place, giving Honda the top three spots on the podium at Salt lake City.
Ryan Dungey finished fourth. Dungey clinched the Supercross title last weekend.
