James Stewart’s total domination of the 2012 Lucas Oil Motocross Championship came to a sudden end during Round 3 at the Thunder Valley MX Park in Lakewood, Colorado. After crashing early in the first moto, Stewart was forced to sit out both races due to an injured hand.
Meanwhile, Ryan Dungey took full advantage of Stewart’s absence and scored his first wins of the season.
Summer is just around the corner and that means it’s time to kick off the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The action begins this Saturday with the legendary FMF Hangtown Motocross Classic in Sacramento, California. Although a few top riders are out with injuries sustained during the Supercross Championship, there is more than enough talent on hand to make for a cutthroat season.
So thrilled to see that Davey Coombs and the folks at MXSportsProRacing.com have significantly improved the schedule for this summer’s Women’s Motocross Race Series.
For the past two years, the women were stuck with motos in the third and sixth spots on the schedule. This forced their second moto to take place on the absolute worst track conditions of the day, last!
Chad Wienen (Yamaha) was able to maintain his perfect record into the first moto of last weekend’s AMA ATV Motocross Championship in Mechanicsville, Maryland, but the second moto saw him finish off the podium for the first time this season.
The AMA ATV Motocross National Championship landed in Blountville, Tennessee this past weekend for Round 2 of the ten-race series.
