James Stewart was scheduled to make his return to competitive dirt bike racing this weekend in Las Vegas, but the former champion has pulled out from the event. Stewart and his team decided to miss the one-off event to stay focused on his return in 2012.
"I had a real tough decision to make," said James. "I want to race as bad as anyone, but in the best interests of my team and the 2012 season, I have to make decisions that not everyone will like or understand. All I can do is stay true and be honest with you all and ask for your patience and understanding. As soon as there is news about my 2012 plans, you'll know!"
Stewart hasn't announced who he will be riding with in 2012, or if he'll be riding at all. But Bubba is getting back on a bike.
Stewart released this video yesterday with the caption "JS7 is Back On Program!"
Do you think James Stewart will be able to return at the top of the game in 2012? Or will he be a step behind Ryan Dungey and Ryan Villopoto?
