Ryan Dungey had a pretty successful career with the Rockstar/Makita Suzuki team. But the premier dirt bike rider is making a big career change next season as he has signed a two year contract with the Red Bull KTM team.
Dungey won the Motocross and Supercross championships in 2010 with his Suzuki. He was also a contender for both championships this year. But despite his winning record with Suzuki, Dungey said that he has the best chance of winning in 2012 with KTM.
"It was an opportunity that presented itself," Dungey said. "As a racer you want to win races and championships. And I saw that KTM was the best fit for myself. They're driven and they're going to do whatever it takes. It just looked like the best fit."
Here's a video of Ryan Dungey talking about his new KTM team.
