Villopoto Victorious at High Point

Ryan Villopoto claimed his first win of the 2011 Motocross season with a 1-2 finish at High Point. Villopoto was joined by Ryan Dungey and Chad Reed on the overall podium.

Villopoto took the win in the first moto with a dominating performance. The 2011 Supercross champion would cross the line 8 seconds ahead of Dungey and Davi Milsaps.

The motocross riders took to a wet track in the second moto. Mike Alessi lead the way, but crashed early on the muddy course. Reed, who has taken the overall win at the previous two events, took his fourth moto win of the season over Villopoto and Dungey.

Villopoto’s 1-2 finish at High Point gives him the overall lead over Reed. Villopoto currently leads the series with 138 points, 15 more than Reed.
