Nagl On Top After Day 1 in the Netherlands

max_naglThe second round of the 2011 MX1 season saw a fantastic battle between Max Nagl and Steven Frossard in the Netherlands. But a late race mistake by Frossard opened the door for Nagl to take the top spot at the end of the first qualifying session.

Nagl took the holeshot, but was quickly overtaken by Frossard before the end of the first lap. Frossard was able to maintain the front position for the majority of the race, but a mistake with three laps to go allowed Nagl to take the lead.

Nagl will be the first off the line at Valkenswaard tomorrow, followed by Evgeny Bobryshev and Gui Goncalves. Frossard ended with a 13th place finish.
