KTM has a large presence in the European motocross community, and they have been gaining momentum over the last few years in America. KTM will continue to grow their support of American motocross as they become an official sponsor of the 2011 Lucas Oil Motocross Championship.
The 40th running of the American Motocross series kicks off in just a few weeks at the Hangtown Classic on May 22nd in Ranco Cordova, California. MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, have just announced that KTM will be an official series sponsor this year
"KTM is excited to continue our partnership with MX Sports and Alli for the 2011 season," said KTM North America, Inc. President Jon-Erik Burleson. "2010 was an amazing year with the release of our new generation motocross models and we are going to continue to build on that momentum in 2011 with MX Sports, Alli and our new motocross (racing) team headed up by Roger DeCoster.
KTM has had a big involvement in the American series for last two seasons. The KTM Fan Experience Program has given select fans a one-of-a-kind VIP experience at a handful of motocross events. KTM will continue their Fan Experience Program this year.
"It has been a strategic focus of ours over the past three years to continue to build KTM's motocross presence in North America through our collaboration with MX Sports," Burleson continued. "One of our cornerstone events to interact with KTM owners has been the KTM/FMF Motocross Fan Experience Program which gives KTM customers VIP treatment at three of the national motocross races."
