The recent DVD re-release of Peter Starr’s Take It To The Limit movie is now accompanied by a new coffee-table book entitled Taking It To The Limit. Starr himself was manning the booth at the Long Beach IMS stop. The author is still an active rider and enthusiast.
A variety of vintage specialty motocycles were spread round the show to pump up the movie’s release.
Our favorites were Marty Smith’s 1977 500cc national MX championship-winning RC400 and the LOP Yamaha YZ465 that Marty Moates used when he became the first American rider to win the 500cc USGP at Carlsbad. The book is available on Amazon.com.
