Dungey Takes Four in a Row

mx_dungey_thundervalleyRyan Dungey extended his motocross lead last night in the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, with his fourth consecutive motocross win. Dungey took second in the first moto and won the second moto for an overall 1st place finish at the Thunder Valley National.

"I've been fortunate to win some races (this year)," said Dungey. "I just want to keep it up and win as many races as possible. I didn't know what to expect (coming into the season), so I came in with an open mind. Hangtown wasn't what I expected, there just wasn't enough time. But I put it behind me and we're moving forward. They let the track go today and it got rough which was cool. It made for some great racing."

The Rockstar/Makita Suzuaki rider now holds a 51 point lead in the standings over Bret Metcalfe. Metcalfe finished third at Thunder valley (4-4) behind Ben Townley (6-2) who had his best finish this season.

Defending champion Chad Reed finished ninth for the day, and dropped into third place in the overall standings behind Metcalfe.
