Danny Magoo was a motocross legend. He had a fearless riding style that won him the respect of fellow riders, as well as legions of fans. The motocross world will deeply miss Danny “Magoo” Chandler, who passed away in his California home. Magoo was an accomplished rider. He was the first person to sweep both the Trophies des Nations and the Motocross des Nations in the same year. But his promising career was cut short in 1985 when Magoo lost the use of his legs after a Supercross accident.
Since then, Magoo has started schools to get kids more active in the biking community. After years of service and dedication to the motorcycle community, the motorcycle community has given back. The Danny “Magoo” Chandler foundation recently raised over $100,000 for a special needs van to help Magoo with his charitable projects.
Magoo won’t be around anymore to help with his motorcycle safety school, but the people he inspired will continue to reach out to the community.
Danny “Maggo” Chandler will be dearly missed.
