The AMA Motocross schedule has been finalized with the addition of the Pala Raceway in Southern California. Pala was added to the circuit after Glen Helen Raceway and MX Sports couldn’t reach an agreement. The Pala Raceway will serve as the series finale on the weekend of September 11th.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Pala Raceway to the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship schedule," said MX Sports Vice President Davey Coombs.
The Pala Raceway is located between San Diego and Los Angeles and features a variety of terrains for riders of all levels. The main track is built into the California hillside, which is both beautiful and challenging.
“We are very proud to have been selected to host a round of this prestigious series," said Ryan Ouellette of the Pala Raceway. "We fully expect to pull out all the stops on this event and have already assembled a strong team to help us build out the facility, including former racer Ryan Hughes, who has a tremendous amount of global racing experience. It is our goal to turn this event into a rich Southern California motocross tradition for years to come."
The start of the Motocross season is only a few weeks away.. The series will kick off in Sacramento, California, at the Hangtown Classic.
