Troy Racing Yamaha’s Jason Lawrence gets a year for assault and mayhem charges
Press Release

Jason Lawrence, the Boost Mobile/AmPm/Monster Energy/Troy Racing Yamaha rider, was sentenced this week to 365 days in the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta, Calif., on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury and mayhem.
These charges stem from a fight in which Lawrence allegedly assaulted someone who had part of an ear partially bitten off.
Lawrence, 22, had a best finish this year of third in moto 2 at the Washougal National, Round 8, of AMA Motocross. He also finished second in the Daytona Supercross in March.
The 2008 Western Regional Supercross Champion was given two days off for time already served, and now owes 363 days to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
