Conditions on Friday for the second qualifying session of the Dayton 200 were crispy under sunny skies with 67% humidity and an air temperature of 74. Now that the starting grid is set for the 2012 Daytona AMA 200, all that is left is for the green flag to drop on Saturday!

The #1 Josh Hayes Monster Energy Graves Yamaha R1 continued to dominate the morning qualifying here at the Daytona International Speedway. Hayes mentioned yesterday he was expecting to see the 1.37's during qualifying.

Defending AMA Pro Motorcycle Super Sport Class Champion James 'the Rocket' Rispoli has now officially resigned with Monster Energy. Starting in Daytona on March 15th, James Rispoli is scheduled to compete in the first of 22 races, during the 11 rounds of the 2012 season.
