AMA Pro racer Jason DiSalvo and his wife returned from a day trip of rafting on Monday, August 10, to find their motor home had caught fire and burned.
DiSalvo, who rides the No. 40 Team M4 Suzuki GSX-R600, and his wife also lost two dogs that firefighters were unable to rescue from inside the motor home.
The enclosed trailer that was attached to the motor home was not damaged. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
DiSalvo and his wife were camping at Yogi Bear's Yellowstone Park Camping Resort in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, between attending the WERA National weekend and this coming weekend’s AMA Pro Racing National at VIR.
They are currently staying in a hotel.
