Front Four on the Grid

Martin Cardenas on the Geico Suzuki GSXR 600 sat on the pole position to start Race 2 of the GoPro Daytona SportBike Race. In the #2 spot was Cameron Beaubier on the #6 Yamaha Extended Service Grave Motorsports Yamaha R6.

Jason DiSalvo on the #40 Castrol Latus Motors Triumph 675R took #3 on the grid. The 4th spot went to the #5 rider Dane Westby sponsored by M4 Suzuki on his Suzuki GSXR 600.

Martin Cardenas

Cardenas was able to lead almost every lap of the 13 lap GoPro Daytona SportBike Race 2 at Road America except the 1st and 5th lap. The first lap, #6 Beaubier was able to hold off Cardenas for the 1st and 5th lap. Cardenas on the 2nd lap passed Beaubier on the #36 machine.

After that pass, Cardenas turned on the afterburners and lead the next 3 laps till #6 Beaubier was once again able to take control. Beaubier who showed remarkable riding ability during Race 2, took over in lap 5 just for 1 lap.

Cardenas decided he didn't want his win streak to come to an end, so he passes Beaubier and leads the rest of the 8 laps of the GoPro Daytona SportBike Race 2. Cardenas is able to take the #1 spot at the checkered flag and continue the longest win streak of his career.

Jason DiSalvo

Jason DiSalvo on the #40 Castrol Latus Motors Triumph 675R wasn't able to end Cardenas career winning streak this weekend, but he was able to get that Triumph 675R to a #2 spot on the podium. DiSalvo has been running strong all year with a couple #1 podium finishes for the year.

JD Beach on the #95 Road Race Factory Red Bull Yamaha R6 was able to bring home the #3 spot on the podium during Race 2. #6 Beaubier went off the track on the last lap giving JD Beach the opportunity to bring home a 3rd place win at Road America.
